Hypnotherapy

Your subconscious mind is the key to change

How Hypnotherapy Can Help?

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that uses hypnosis to help individuals achieve specific goals, address emotional or psychological issues, and promote overall well-being. It combines elements of hypnosis and NLP to create a unique form of help.

Hypnotherapy involves inducing a trance-like state in the client, often called a hypnotic state. During this state, individuals are more relaxed and open to suggestions. It's important to note that hypnosis is not a form of mind control; individuals under hypnosis are fully aware and can choose to follow the therapist's suggestions or not.

Hypnotherapy addresses a wide range of issues, including anxiety, phobias, stress, smoking cessation, weight loss, pain management, and more. During sessions, I will guide you into a hypnotic state during progressive relaxation. I will use various therapeutic techniques, such as suggestion, visualisation, and guided imagery, to help you achieve your goals or address concerns. Each session is individual and tailored to support your needs.

I am a client-centred hypnotherapist, which means you will actively participate in the process. The success of the process depends on your receptiveness and commitment to undergo hypnotherapy and work towards your goals.

How do I work as a hypnotherapist?

As an ethical hypnotherapist, I prioritise the well-being of my clients and always obtain informed consent before starting the therapy. I am following a code of conduct of relevant accrediting bodies.

During my consultations, I can offer a combination of hypnotherapy, NLP and coaching, depending on the individual's needs and the condition being addressed.

What to expect in the hypnotherapy session?

In our first session, we'll have an opportunity to connect and discuss your background, the concerns you wish to address, and the outcomes you desire through our hypnotherapy sessions. I encourage you to ask any questions and voice your concerns, ensuring you feel completely at ease. During our initial meeting, we'll work together to set clear and achievable goals for our sessions. This ensures that every aspect of your hypnotherapy experience is tailored to your unique needs.

At the outset of each session, we will embark on a journey of relaxation. Deep breathing exercises and progressive muscle relaxation will be introduced to help you attain a state of serene focus and comfort. I will guide you into a state of profound hypnosis, using carefully crafted verbal suggestions, incorporating imagery, counting, and guided relaxation. Throughout this process, you'll remain in a state of deep relaxation while maintaining full consciousness and awareness.

Our sessions will be tailored to your objectives. Depending on your specific needs, I may provide positive suggestions aligned with your goals, or guide you through an exploration of your thoughts, emotions, and memories to address any underlying issues. To enhance the effectiveness of our therapy, we will occasionally deepen the hypnotic state, allowing for a more profound transformation. I will work closely with you to address the concerns at hand. Whether it involves suggestions for behavioural change, fostering positive thought patterns, or engaging in mental rehearsals for desired outcomes, our focus will always be on your well-being and progress. Towards the conclusion of each session, I will guide you gently out of the hypnotic state, ensuring a smooth return to full wakefulness and alertness.

Following each session, we will engage in a comprehensive discussion to reflect on your experiences, share your thoughts and emotions, and explore any valuable insights gained during our time together. To maximise the benefits of our sessions, I may suggest personalised self-hypnosis techniques and exercises for you to practice between appointments. These exercises serve to reinforce the positive changes initiated during our sessions.

I'm here to support you on your journey, and it's important to note that the number of sessions required may vary from person to person, depending on the complexity of your concerns. Rest assured that you've chosen a qualified and licensed hypnotherapist, and please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have about your therapeutic process. Your well-being is my utmost priority.

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that utilises hypnosis to help individuals access their subconscious mind, making it easier to address a wide range of issues, from reducing stress and anxiety to breaking habits and improving overall well-being.

How Does Hypnotherapy Work?

During a hypnotherapy session, a trained therapist guides you into a state of deep relaxation and heightened focus. In this state, your subconscious mind becomes more receptive to positive suggestions and therapeutic interventions that can lead to desired changes in thoughts, emotions, and behaviour.

Is Hypnotherapy the Same as Stage Hypnosis?

INo, they are very different. Stage hypnosis is for entertainment purposes, while clinical hypnotherapy is a therapeutic process aimed at helping individuals overcome personal challenges and improve their lives.

What Can Hypnotherapy Help With?

Hypnotherapy can assist with a wide range of issues, including stress and anxiety management, smoking cessation, weight management, phobias, insomnia, pain management, and improving self-esteem and confidence.

Is Hypnotherapy Safe?

Yes, hypnotherapy is considered safe when administered by a trained and qualified therapist. You are always in control during the session, and the therapist's role is to guide and support you through the process.

Will I Lose Control During Hypnotherapy?

No, you will not lose control. You will remain aware and in control throughout the session. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process, and you can choose to accept or reject any suggestions made by the therapist.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

The number of sessions required varies depending on your specific goals and the complexity of the issue. Some individuals experience significant improvements in just a few sessions, while others may benefit from ongoing therapy.
